How to use Adsense Manager plugin for wordpress

February 11th, 2009

If you want a fast and easy method to use wordpress’ adsense manager, then follow these guidelines :

Step 1: Activate the plugin and then go to Manage –>Ad Units

Step2: Go to adsense Google and create the code that you want and copy it here according to the format

Step 3:Step 3: Save the code

You have to create the ad name (use one that makes sense to you) and you may use the default settings or you may also change the dimension instead of using the default .

For example if the dimension needs to be changed, and instead of going back to google adsense to create the new code, wordpress adsense manager allows you to change it seamlessly. eg 160 length –> change to 120 length for a vertical banner

Step 4: What to do with this code ? You Add this code into the sidebar for example, activate the sidebar widget for this code, if you have a widget in your design menu.

 Navigate to Design–>Widget

Step 5: Once activated, see that it is on the sidebar

However, you may also try out the various parameters and options for defaults to suit your webpage.

That’s it, this is a very brief methodology for using adsense manager. Play around with it and you can even

use [Ad#name of your ad] and stick that into your html post with wordpress.
